A Look At Koupal Angus
Koupal Angus has been raising Angus cattle since 1949, and we are now in our fourth generation.
We are located in south east SD with easy access to NE, MN, IA. We are a total family operation with Angus cattle being our only cattle.business. We are true die-hard Angus people.
We have a production sale the third Monday in February (President's Day) and normally sell 180 bulls. Sometimes we have open females at the sale, sometimes we don't. Most of the time, we sell our females privately.
As times change so do things change here at Koupal Angus. LaVern and Alice are slowly tying to retire, bringing a grandson in to our operation. Derek Koupal and Kristi Donlin were married last year, and Derek works with us. We are excited about working with them. I don't think LaVern and Alice will ever never have any Angus cows but they are trying to slow down.
Bud and Bernie, along with the rest of there family will continue to have B & B Angus and will eventually take over the complete management of the sale. They will do a good job.
David and Peggy have sold their cowherd and David has moved on to a higher degree of teaching at a Vo-Tec school making it almost impossible to have cattle. We wish them well in their new endeavors.
